 the pill - impact on bowels???
Number three!!
I'm hoping to take an oral contraceptive to tackle my bowel problems - since they start even before ovulation I only get about 5-7 more or less symptom free days per month!! I'm already taking a 5HTp supplement (Serotonin) in a small dosis and it does definitely help both against the colon cramping and the emotional PMS problems, but it's far too weak! No, I want to cut the evil by the root! Now, have any of you had any side effects when taking the pill affecting your bowel function? If so, please tell me what type of pill it was (with estrogen or not,etc.), the name won't tell me much because I live in Germany!
Thanks for any help you can give, my new gyn doesn't seem to know much about all this.
