| What is this? Need advice !!
History - a few months ago I began taking Stacker II diet pills. I only took them for one week. The last day I took them, I forgot I had already taken one and then took another one. During the drive home from work, I began getting this "drop" feeling which I can only describe as the feeling you get on a roller coaster when you drop from the top to the bottom and you get light headed, and your heart "flip flops". My heart rate also increased to an alarming rate and my hands were shaking uncontrollably. I drove myself to the emergency room where after waiting for 2 hours, the symptoms began to subside, then feeling fine, still not seeing a doctor, I went home.
Now - a few months later. On Saturday, everything was fine. As I was in the shower getting ready to go out to lunch, I began getting that "drop" feeling, over and over, then my arms and legs began to tingle and burn, but also seemed numb at the same time. I completed my shower and sat down on the bed. I began feeling worse as if I was fighting to stay awake. I called for my son to bring me the phone when he brought me the phone, I passed out or fainted and he dialed 911. When the ambulance arrived, they hooked me to the monitors, my pulse rate was at 155 and blood pressure was high (I usually have low pressure). They took me to the hospital by ambulance. By the time we reached the hospital, all vitas were back to normal. After staying in the hospital for 2 hours, with no reoccuring episodes, they were going to release me. As the doctor came in to tell me it must have been a "fluke" it happened again. I had the drop feeling, I told him it was coming again and as he stood there my heart rate went from 76 to 144 in a matter of seconds. The did an EKG on me, which was normal. Checked my thyroid and other blood work which they said was normal.
However, I have continued to have these episodes on an average of 3 - 6 times per day. Also, since Sat both my arms (from shoulder down through hands) have been numb. It's hard to explain, I can feel them, and move them, but hardly any sensation in them. Also, at the same time they seem to be "burning". Yesterday my legs began feeling the same way, but only in on the shin bone, the front area of the leg, from the knee down. My hands are also cold but sweaty.
I'm constantly dizzy, and have a hard time focusing. At times, I can feel my heart beating through my chest and experience a pain behind my left breast that radiates up to my shoulder.
I had a pretty bad episode on Tuesday night. I had spent the day feeling fine. Then that night, my friend asked me if I was allright, even though I wasn't, I didn't want him to worry so I told him yes and he said "then why are you grey" ....it was true, when I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror, my face was grey, I was sweating, my hands were shaking. This lasted for about one hour.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I did notice on friday, my rib cage and sternum, (the area between my breasts, but low where your bra strap rubs) were sore, like the bones were sore but I had no idea why. I also started my period on Friday and then had this "episode" on Sat around 1:30. I am no longer having my menstrual cycle, but am still experiencing these strange symptoms.
I am 31 years old, female, under no stress, good health, haven't even been sick in the past 3 years other than the usual cold/flu during winter.
I have an md appt on Friday, just wondering if anyone had any ideas or has experience any of the same things.
It's really worrying/scareing me !!
