Post Bloating during Ovulation

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice, or share with me on this topic. For the last I guess few months I have felt really bloated, like lower abdomen. At first I thought it was constipation, but after taking Senna tea and still being bloated way down in my abdomen I'm not so sure. It is tender, but not unbearable. I only realised that it isn't so likely to be constipation but related to ovulation as me and my boyfriend noticed this being around the 14th day of my cycle, for the last two months.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem, or is it something more sinister?

I definitely know when I am ovulating. Pain on one side, constipation, bloating. This is so painful that sometimes I have a hard time walking or even trying to sit. There is nothing that can help this.

Yeah, well my tummy is only really bloated for a few days around the ovulation time and obviously during my period as well, but its a nightmare as I can't do up my pants (trousers) or anything and feel full even when I haven't eaten anything all day!

Talking

A lot of women can experience a painful and bloated belly at the time of ovulation. Also, remember that if you get constipated regularly like this, it is best not to take laxatives, but rather increase the fiber in your diet with either Metamucil or by increasing your dietary intake. Prune juice never fails either.

If this happens regularly though, it may warrant further investigation. Have you ever been checked out for ovarian cysts? If not think about this, as this or fibroids could cause lots of belly pain and bloating at the time of ovulation.
