Post involuntarily leaking

today I was sitting out on my balcony when I looked down and saw that there was some liquid on the chair between my legs and my shorts were wet in the crotch area. I wasn't drinking anything and I didn't feel my body ejecting any type of fluid, so I was pretty confused. I did a little research and it seems like it's a symptom of menopause, but I'm 18 years old so that can't be it. this has never happened before and I'm a virgin (if that even matters) so what's going on?

Seeing as you're only 18, I highly doubt menopause is setting in. You're probably just nearing ovulation where the cervical mucous becomes more evident; completely normal. A pantyliner for a few days will help you out.

It's probably just because you are about to ovulate. Was it thick or was it like urine?

Like urine, but I tried to smell it and it didn't smell like pee. Does this mean I'm going to be "leaking" every month from now on or is it just a one time thing?

Well before you ovulate, some women have a thick/liquid like discharge that is usually white or clear and with no smell. I think this is probably what you have. It doesn't happen to all women but it does happens to me every time. I wear an ultra-thin panty liner everyday and they will keep you feeling and smelling fresh. Don't worry about it too much, it's just part of life http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif) Good luck.

There seems to have been quite a lot if the fluid managed to soak through your panties AND your shorts... but as long as it is odourless and your sure it wasn't urine, then its not something to stress too much about - just an inconvenience.
Where a pantyliner! There are some ultra ultra thin ones out there on the market that are so comfortable they practically aren't there!
