hi. i'm new to this board. i just had my first gynecologist appointment and found out that i have an excess hymenal remnant (i think thats what its called). she suggested having surgery to cut it because it is so painful to take a tampon out and to have sex (which i only have once). has anyone else had this problem and this surgery?? i'm so nervous, but surgery seems to be the only solution..

please share your stories and experience with this!
