Hi guys! I'm new to the site.. but I've got a serious question I'd like some feedback on.
I had been on birthcontrol (pills) for about a year.. and changed to the patch in late May. However, In June when I was to start my next month on the patch.. (they got forgotten in packing for a trip) so I decided I would skip a month and start back on the patch in July after I got my period. Well thats the thing.. I still have not gotten it. I am about 2 weeks late now. I took a test last Friday that read NEGATIVE.. and the few times since I have been off BC and had sex I have used other contraceptives. I don't understand why I haven't started? I recently started working out at the gym.. could that have anything to do with it? .. I'm at a loss here... any feed back would be greatly appreciated,
If you took a test that said negative, I doubt you are pregnant. My guess is your body is adjusting to the hormones, and it might take a little longer for you to have your period. I don't know about the patch, but it can take 6-8 weeks at least for you to have a period after stopping the pill. I am guessing the patch would be the same way. Give your doc a call and ask.
