Post Pain in knees...Lupron????

Hi everyone
I was on Lupron for a little over a year and recently went off. Chronic pelvic pain has yet to return full blown since going off. I am experiencing something odd however since stopping Lupron. My knees really ache. This has been happening for the past month. I think it may be from Lupron. Then again, if I sneeze crooked, I blame Lupron
Have any of you who have been on Lupron ever experience this? Itís kind of like when you are in a position too long and your knees may feel sore for a minute, but mine feel that way all day long. Not sure whatís causing it. I assume itís Lupron because it depletes your bone mass. I never took the calcium I was supposed too (I know, that was wrong) but my bone scans were always normal so I just never took the supplements. Do you think it could be coming from that?

Hi Flash -

Tsk Tsk for not taking the calcium. Have you had a bone scan since stopping the lupron? Might be worth your time. I have heard that several women who have endo also suffer from fibromyalgia, and it might be that, or arthritis, which women with endo also seem to get more.

Are you active? Maybe you just pulled some muscles or strained some ligaments?

And no kidding about blaming lupron for it. Just the other day, I stubbed my toe, and told my bf that it hurt as much as it did b/c of that *%$#( lupron. He just looked at me. Its god awful.

Maybe you should just call your doc and get your knees checked out. And while you are there, sneak in a bone density test, huh?

Hi Jessi,

I know shame on me I should have followed instructions
I didnít pull anything to my knowledge. The pain is in both knees. Kind of feels like I have been hit with a baseball bat sometimes http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/hammer.gif

Itís not due to exercising either...For I havenít exercised in over a month Again, shame on me

This past week, it hasnít been everyday. Thatís a good sign I guess. I do need to get to my chiropractor. I have gotten lazy with that as well. I usually went 2 times a week and I havenít been in over 3 weeks. I donít know what is wrong with me these days ???

Anyway, thanks for the input. I still havenít had a reply from Pippin...have you??? I hope everything is O.K. I watched her posts all the time and saw she posted/replied quite a bit. I hope nothing happened!!!!

Take care and talk to you soon.
Thanks,
Flash

Heya Flash -

Get yourself to your chiropractor, and maybe you will feel better.

I know all about the lack of exercise. I am very good about not practicing what I preach. I do try and walk a few times a week, but sometimes the pain is just too bad. I know it will help, but I get tired of fighting it all the time, ya know?

Nope, haven't heard anything from Pip. I posted to that on the pain boards, and I am getting concerned. I wish I knew how long she had planned to be gone.

Talk to ya soon, I am sure We seem to be all over the board tonight.
