The paps basically only look for cancer cells. With missing periods it coudl be any number of things and so paps dont help much in finding out why your periods are not happening.
Blood hormone tests,ultrasounds,minor surgery,and other such things are done in order to find out why someone's periods are missing.
For me mine started getting further and further apart and then they stopped. Come to find out I have PCOS which has really done a number on me.
You need to talkt o your doctor about getting hormone tests done. If he/she wont listent he get another doctor who will.
