Question Started a new OTC pack last night.. But found 1 left in previous pack..

Here is my question... I am taking Orthotryciclen the 28 pack, and I am also a Sunday Starter.. Well, last week I got my period , so on Saturday I was supposed to take the last one of my green reminder pills... Since, I am Sunday Starter I started a new pack last night.. But, on Satuday night I realized I had one green-reminder-pill left.. I freaked out because this has never happened to me.. I don't know if I just did not take one of the sugar pills or what happened... Anyway, my question is whether or not I did the right thing starting a new pack last night? Is this going to have any effects on my new cycle? Also, is it true that yuor body needs a "break" from the pill after some time?
Thanks any replies are "really" appreciated

You don't actually NEED to take the green reminder pills. They're only sugar pills, i just throw mine away. They're just there to keep you on schedule, so you ONLY allow yourself 7 days of no hormones. You're totally fine. Many women cut their placebo week short and start their new pack of pills early in order to change their 'start days'. So if you ever want to have your period on a different day or something, you can always take your placebo pills for three days, and then start your active pack of pills again. You just should NEVER have more than a 7 day hormone-free week.

I agree with the above post. Don't worry about it I have done that before, matter of fact, I bet almost every pill taker has done that at least once! You'll be fine & you did the right thing.

Thanks for your responses, it really makes a difference when somebody else tells you've done the right thing! Do you girls think I should just go as "normal" or should I use a "back-up" method?
Thanks...

You don't need to use a backup method. You're perfectly fine. The green reminder pills don't do anything.
