Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do about these age spots? There a very lite brown and bigger than a normal freckle...I only have a few...on hands and I found 1 on my face...I just turned 40 and really don't want these "age spots" know what I mean http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif
A dermatologist can remove them with liquid nitrogen. It is a spray that freezes them, they then turn into a scab, then fall off. You will be left with red marks that will eventually completely fade. I suppose they can be removed with laser treatment also, but that is probably costly.
Also, if you want to try something before you go to the MD you can try Porcelana skin creme. It is a "lightening" agent for age spots and freckles. I have used it before with very good results. (Esp. after being in the sun too long...I am very light complected and had many freckles on my face and body.)
The MD treatments are very good, but also very costly if your insurance won't pay for cosmetic treatments. Try the Porcelana and see if it works for you.
