Hi , I have a sister who gets cyst on the outside of her vagina and we are not talking 1 or 2 .
She has tried to change what she eats to what she wears to what she wash's her clothes with even what she baths with . Has been to 4 different Dr's even an disease specialist and all say nutin could be done.
Then about a month ago one Dr said she could do surgery but it was a 50/50 chance and my sis was willing to take the chance . Well a month later they are back . She has had 4 in the last 1 wk and sometimes they break and blood and or pus will ooze but only to fill right back up .
She is in a great deal of pain and no one seems to beable to do anything for it . She was place on antbd. and still no help . they are kinda telling her to live with it .
The cyst are right on the lip , making it painfull to sit . She has tried everything and now just sits and cries in pain all day and it is affecting her life and work .
She is not sexually active at the moment , nor has she been for the last 4 months .
Has anyone out there had experiences like this ?
Is there any help at all ?
I'm so sorry, I have never had an experience quite like that. To be honest I've never even heard of it. I've had a cyst on my ovary before, which ruptured and caused a great deal of pain for several hours, but that just fades and goes away. This sounds awful.
All I can say is that my sympathy goes out to your sister, and I hope that something can be done for her.
No regrets. The past makes you who you are today.
Has she been diagnosed with having cysts. It sounds more like an ongoing abcess problem to me. If so this is a type of infection and it needs to be treated by a doctor. Has she seen several different doctors or is this info coming from the same doctor? If it's the same doctor she definitely needs to find someone else. She should not try to self medicate or pop them herself. Most abcesses must be sliced open and drained thoroughly to get rid of the infection. Also if that's what she has and she keeps getting them she needs to look into something that may be lowering her immune system. My brother has diabetes and he get several of them all the time. Good luck and I hope things get better for her.
