Post testing of testostrone,thyroid,prolactin

Has anyone everyhad these things checked for symptoms such as facial hair,acne,breastmilk,deepervoice,and no sex drive? If so, what did the docs make u do to clear the things up? Please help? Desperate and Broke.

They test thyroid hormones and testosterone when they suspect PCOS. They also test prolactin in case it's something else, like a pituitary problem.

PCOS is better diagnosed with an insulin resistance test. Depending on how severe it is there are several treatments. BCP's help with mild PCOS.

hello. i was just diagnoised with pcos. i was worried about my hair loss. come to find out, i had most of the symptons: hair loss, weight gain, especailly in the stomach, high bblood pressure, irregular periods, bad pms. after researching, i found out so much. i have been on medication for 2 weeks and feel like a new woman. i am on glucose for my insulin level. i am not having hot flashes any more, am not achey and tired all the time, will find out about my pms next week. i am on sarafem for that. just ask your doctor. all it takes is an blood test. its worth it. now i am waiting for my hair to regrow. good luck.
