Has anyone been diagnosed with POS and if so what were your symptoms. I am having alot of endocrine symptoms that I don't know are related (headaches, nightsweats, limb swelling,....) I'm getting a little worried.
There are actually quite a few on here that have PCOS. I am one of them...recently found out at that.
There are several great sitest hat talk about PCOS and the various signs. But you should know one can have PCOS and not have any signs at all.
Currently my signs are hair growth(male pattern),hair loss(head),long cycles, not ovulating, weight gain(I have had weight gain over the years but didnt know that it was a sign of PCOS until I was told I had it), and acne problems(not fun at 28 yrs old when I never had a problem before).
There are also several great books that can help also.

Hi! I too have suffered with PCOS for nearly 20 years - twice I've managed to control my weight with Metformin, but this time after the birth of my last child 2 years ago I can't shift a 1lb!
I've given in and bought a bottle of Zantrex! IT better be as good as they promise!!!!
yep, I'm another of them! I have only recently been diagnosed with PCOS (my first endo discounted it because I'm not over-weight). I've never had regular periods...that was my only symptom, until this year when my periods completely stopped and I got really severe acne, really suddenly (I'm 19). I also have a tiny bit of excess hair (nothing that concerns me) and I certainly have the sugar cravings. An ultrasound of my ovaries confirmed that they were polycystic and my blood work also shows abnormally high levels of free androgens.
was just cruising through when i saw this. i was diagnosed with this when i was about 15. i hit puberty and it seemed like i sprouted a full beard. that was 9 years ago. the 1st doctor that diagnosed me with it i didn't care for to much so i stopped going for years and then his partner went out on his own so i tried him. he put me on spironolactone and glucophage xr and birth control. needless to say i got a little tired off constantly popping pills so i stopped. i've lost weight a couple of times but of course gained it back. right now i'm at my highest weight ever. i need to lose about a 100 lbs but i can't seem to say no to sugar or any kinda carbs. but i have regular periods of about 5 days every 28 to 30 days so i'm not sure if its affected my fertility or not. i actually found two books about it on books a million's website. you might wanna buy them to learn more about pcos. they're very informative. one is by samuel thatcher,md and the other i can't remember but i think it will show you other books written about pcos underneath the book description.
