Diaper rash? - Women's Health Message Board

Hi Ladies,

I hope one of you can help me. I have been bleeding for longer than I want to count and I think I have developed diaper rash. I am post-D&C and can't get anything in my vagina. And, the bleeding probably won't stop anytime soon.

Does anyone know what can be done to soothe the rash and make it go away? Even while I am bleeding?

Hi. I had a yeast infection whilst on my period and the sanitary towels basically ended up giving me a diaper rash! Have you tried Sudocrem? I don't know if it's called something different in the States (I am in the UK).You can get it from pharmacies. It's a very mild antiseptic cream. It's for kids' diaper rash but I found it really soothing for me... just an idea.

I used it whilst on my period with no problems - of course I can't guarantee the same for you but I found it was fine.

I forget where you are, but if it is in the states then try Desitin or Desitin Creamy. This is diaper rash lotion that is used on babies, but I have had to use it for my female problems and it worked like a dream, even when I was bleeding.
