| Re: What is Haemoglobin Level? thankyou
14.6 is an excellent number for a woman. My goal has been to get to 14 since February, but I just can't get there. Normal values at sea level are between 12 and 14 and at altitude are between 14 and 16. Most women are a little on the lower side because of their periods and men are on the higher side.
This tells you how much red blood you have. As you probably know, you need red blood to carry oxygen all over your body. When you don't have enough, some of your cells suffer from not getting enough oxygen. This is called anemia. Having too much can cause a person to be tired, but I think that is up around 16 or 17.
