Yeast Infection - Women's Health Message Board

Well, for the first time in my 30 years of life, I finally got a yeast infection - not too bad but annoying.

I am using Monistat right now and seem to be improving. Can anyone tell me the "typical" timeframe for this to clear up?

I still have no clue what brought this on. My husband and I had intercourse a few times in one night last weekend and oddly enough, this seemed to appear a few days later - maybe connected, maybe not. I also wonder if it could have been coupled with the fact that my office was extremely warm earlier in the week and i had on very heavy dress pants - not tight, but i do sit with my legs crossed at my desk frequently - wondering if that coupled with the heat added to the equation!

hello..i had a poster recommend to me last week about using tea tree oil suppositories. I went and got some and all my probs were cured with 4 days...that was for bv tho. i have heard it is also excellent for yeast infections. being ur on meds and its curing it in the future u could try the tea tree oil...alot less messy that the monostat also. i have noticed a connection with sex and my neverending infections. too tight of clothing doesnt let ya breathe down there...baths..meds...stress...diabetes. ..tons of things can bring on these annoying infections. But i had suffered with em for so long and as soon as i tried tea tree oil suppositories(from local herb store) ive felt wonderful! give it a try in the future!
