Question owie, please help

K so I've had this once before but didn't really think anything of it, about 6 months ago, and now i have it again and am kinda worried.... on my right side, just at the bottom of my vagina, its like a gland or something has gotten really swollen or something. it's turned into what feels like its about an inch long, and its swollen pretty thickly.... it hurts when i sit, when i walk... just about everything i do that involves it being touched hurts. anybody know what it is or how to get rid of it? the last time it lasted about a week or two then went away.... any ideas?????

Re: owie, please help

If you can(with the help of a mirror) try to take a look at it. Is it on the outside of the skin? Does it look like a blood filling zit? If it is, it could be a BOIL, a friend of mine gets them there on occassion, and they sound alot like what your describing. Very painful when sitting standing...sometimes just moving. And they usually last a week or two. There nothing too serious and are often caused by bacteria-I do believe.
I have no idea what causes them but you pretty much have to let them run their course. If they get bigger and last longer, you may have to get it lanced(popped) by a Dr.
However if it is not on the outside of the skin, then I can't help you, you should probably see a Dr about it.
Hope this helps.
