Pcod

I am taking Sodium Valproate(800mg) for epilepsy. I am suffering from PCOD and my Gynaec. has prescribed the birth-control pills for a period of 6 months. He says that might regulate my periods. Do u think PCOD is in any way related to the medicines i am taking for epilepsy? Is it (PCOD)curable?
