Cyst - Women's Health Message Board

There is some sort of cyst type thing inside of my vagina on the left side, close to the opening...the cyst itself doesn't hurt, but the area of skin around it is tender. It's not very large, but I can feel it when I stick my finger inside and move it around with my finger when I push it inward on the left side. The area of skin above it, close to the opening, is where it's tender, and feels kind of rough. When I'm having sex, it hurts only when it's first inserted, but not during the actual act. I'm thinking maybe it's a Bartholin's gland cyst?

That's probably exactly what it is. I'm not a doctor or anything, but speaking from personal experience, you should go to the doctor ASAP. I had one last year and it hurt so bad. If you let it get bigger, and it will get bigger, you will have to have it lanced and that hurts really bad too cause they cut it, drain the fluid and make an incision to let the rest drain over the next few days. Oh yeah they don't close the second incision...so i would suggest you get medical attention immediately. I hope this helps you out!!Let me know what happens.
