Could this actually be possible?

I am wondering if this is actually a real possibility, or coninsidence so I would appreciate anyone's feedback here. For all of my life my periods have been very irregular (anywhere from every two to 24 months). I had to have strong fertility drugs and steroids to get pregnant because of this. Anyway, about three months ago a couple of friends convinced me of the health benefits of drinking water, so I started. I have to admit that I probably was very dehydrated as I was only drinking a small glass of O.J. each AM and two Cokes per day, total liquid intake. Well, a few weeks after starting the water (I am drinking about 2, 24 oz. bottles per day give or take a few ounces now) I had a period. I then had one about a month later and today, started another one, again, about a month later. Could regulating my periods have been this simple all along, or do you think it may just be coninsidental?

Re: Could this actually be possible?

If your body is being deprived of essential nutrition it can often effect your cycle - making you very irregular or not have a period at all. For example, that is why people with eating disorders can often stop having a period or become really irregular, because their bodies are having to focus on keeping other essential parts functioning. I'm sure not taking in healthy amounts of water/liquid could possibly do the same thing, although I've never heard of it.

Good for you on starting to drink water though!! Not only does your body need it, but it has so many other wonderful benefits too - healthier skin, etc.

Wow, I would give my left arm to go two whole years without having that wretched period! Perhaps I should stop drinking so much water

I would say that it is possible since caffene is a drug.
