What is up with this female cramp??? - Women's Health Message Board

I woke up this morning with period cramp like symptoms, (not do for another week) I am on BCP for about 6 months now. Noticed that I was spotting a bit very little pink. I actually had a dr's appointment schedule for today anyway, yearly physical. I know this may be a silly question, but if the doc gives you and internal exam and a pap test could she tell if you are pregnant? I would think so right? If so then the spotting isn't from that, what would it be from? Just the pill? Hormones? My doc said that everything looked great and had no worries. Hope someone can give me some advice.

If you are very early pregnant and neglected to mention the possibility to the doctor, there is no way she could tell either by exam (too small to make palpable difference) or by pap smear (which is only diagnosing presence or absence of abnormal cells).
Spotting a day after a pap smear/pelvic is not that unusual. Bleeding enough to need a pad/tampon IS.
Just outta curiousity, if you've been on the pill for 6 months, what makes you think you might be pregnant??

Paranoya......I felt like I was ovuating this month, had the pains and everything. I have never missed a pill or have I been late. I was on antibiotics about six weeks ago but I have had my period since then. So I guess I shouldn't be worried...Ihope.
