Hi. I just completed 6 days worth of pessaries and now (the first morning after not having used a pessary) I still have the infection. It feels pretty bad internally... I don't have any symptoms like the discharge... just the itch right inside.
It was fine last night, but then thismorning it feels as though it is getting worse each minute.
What do you suggest I do?
I have been taking acidophilus during the past 6 days. I will try inserting some capsules like someone else on this site mentioned.
I also have abdominal cramping and feeling nauseous. I don't know if these are associated with it or not.
How much does diet affect yeast overgrowth? If I change my diet today how long would it take for it to help with this problem?
I know, or I am at least pretty sure, that it is caused by the pill... but changing diet, etc can still prevent them even if I still take the pill, can't it?

Do I just use a finger?
Are they the normal oral capsules?

Yeast infections are more of a problem with the vulva than the vagina, it does not sound at all normal for you to be experiencing cramping or feeling nauseous, I’d say get to your doctor and explain these symptoms to him/her, get new tests done to see if it is something else. I can’t say those symptoms sound familiar but what you describe there is not your run of the mill yeast problem.

Capsules – anything you are using should have clear instructions on how they are to be taken.

On the subject of diet, yes, diet can effect yeast infections, cut out sugar and alcohol for one. There are other things to take into consideration too – such as how you wipe yourself when on the toilet (No wiping from front to back), the toilet paper you use (use plain white), what you wash yourself with (No soap, bubble bath, feminine sprays or douches), menstrual products used (No commercial products, particularly not tampons), the washing powder you use, as well as what you wear – i.e. avoid tight jeans, were white cotton panties, no underwear at night, and so on and so fourth.

Hi. Thanks. I have just restarted taking the pill which is for endometrisosis treatment, so the cramping is most probably from that.. and the nausea from the hormones or something.

I went and asked at the chemist what I should do and they said to use another one day pessary and gave me some 'forbiotics', which says to use with antibiotics. I'm not taking antibiotics, but it should help??

Each tablet contains 100 million organisms of Lactobacilus reutori. Can you overdose on these organisms, because I have also been taking acidophilus capsules, each containing 1 billion organisms.
The 'Forbiotic' tablets say to take 4-5 daily. Should I also take the other acidophilus capsules? at least until I get rid of this infection?

For me to still have an infection does it mean it is the same infection just not cleared up yet, or is it possible to be a new infection?

Is drinking tea likely to cause an infection? I will try and not eat anything bad this week and just eat vegetables and meat, and pasta?
Are all kinds of alcohol bad?

I always stick by the other things, such as sleeping without underwear, etc.. being clean and hygienic, etc. I think it is just from taking the pill again that I have this problem again.
As for the toilet paper, does the colour matter? Or just if it is scented?

This is so frustrating and expensive.
