Need ideas - Women's Health Message Board

My mom is going in for a full hysterectomy on Friday, and won't be out until Sunday. From you experiences what can i do to help her in the healing process to be more comfortable. Or any pointers that you did to make stuff alot easier would be apreciated. She is a nervous wreck.( her mom died from cervical cancer ) She is getting a complete done through her stomach. Oh yeah and she did order the Swelly belly band. Thanks

The best you can do for her is to be there for support and I see that you are already. When my sister had her's she was sore for about a month and her doctor did want her to do much house work or anthing so you will need to be there to help your mom out with just everyday things. Your Mom is truely blessed with such a carrying child, God bless you and your Mom I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Thank you for the prayers. I'm bummed out because i can't be with her before the operation. My daughter is 3 and would be a real handful. Besides it's at 6:30 in the morning. But i will go see her afterwords. Once again thanks for the prayers.
