Angry Gross: Bacterial Vaginosis and Metrogel/Yeast

This is pretty gross.

Does Metrogel produce large clumps of tissue paper like, crumbly discharge ??? Would using Metrogel aggravate a yeast infection??? (I don't think I have a yeast infection--as this discharge is VERY clumpy. It is not fluid like or creamy. It is not itchy. And, It does not smell FISHY or YEASTY. Simply put, it is balls of white clumps--surrounded by NOTHING...just clumps of white).

If I had a yeast infection, would the yeast clump together like clumps of tissue paper when using metrogel?

This discharge is so WEIRD.

Has anybody used Metrogel? What was your experience???

I've never used Metrogel, but do you think the discharge could simply be the Metrogel coming out? "What goes in, must come out" so to speak. It could look different because it has mixed with your normal vaginal secretions.

Metrogel sometimes causes yeast infections and could make one you already had worse. It's normal to have "weird" discharge while on it. I wish doctors would tell you these things! After you've finished using it, things should go back to normal within a few days. If they don't, you should go back to the doctor (in case you have a yeast infection.)

YES!! everytime i've used metro gel it does that. therefore i do NOT use that anymore, and i don't really have those problems anymore that caused me to use it. but yes i know exactly what you're talking about.

I have had the exact same experience. Every time that i have used metrogel, it looks like huge white clumps of wet toilet paper are discharged, and i have no idea why?

Yes that is common when using metro gel but the this is a temporary solution. Most likely BV will return.
