taking BC pill at same time every day - Women's Health Message Board

I am on Yasmin BC. I've been taking BC for about 5 years, in which I have taken them at the same time every night. For the past couple of weeks though, most days I have taken the pill a few hours late. I have been having some breakthrough bleeding, figuring it was from that. My question is, is there a possibilty of pregnancy due to taking the pill a few hours late?

I really don't think there is. Read your prescribing information, even if you take a forgotten pill in the morning, or two at the same time, there is no need for a back up method. Yes, it's best to take drugs at the same time, but a few hours won't matter.

I highly doubt there is. As long as you take it in the general time frame everyday. For instance... if you take it in the morning everyday it's probably not good if you take it at night for a few days in a row or vice versa.
