Cramping, spotting..what's wrong? - Women's Health Message Board

Good afternoon, everyone. I need some advice...

I had my period 2 weeks ago. It was normal. A few days after it ended, I began spotting and cramping (I usually only cramp for the 1st day of my period). I called my Doctor, and they advised me to take a pregnancy test. I did, and it was negative. (I'm on the pill). The spotting lasted 2 days, but the cramping has continued. I'm beginning to get concerned because this never happens to me, but my Dr doesn't believe that anything is wrong.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Some of the Side Effects of the pill is Abdomonal Pain and Spotting. You might just be having the side effects of the pill. I was on it 4 yrs and never had one but there are people that do. Sorry Im not much help but I do know that those are some of the effects of the pill. Good Luck!

why would your doctor tell you to take a pregnancy test then? they are only accurate about the time when your period is due-- or 10 days after an egg has been fertilized.

have you been tested for STD's. if your period is late, take another test. if the pain continues, go to a different doctor and get a ful STD work up.
