Question Menstral Issues

Are there any women out there who have had or know of anyone who has had very painful bowel movements during their menstrual cycle?
Any insight would be appreciated!

Re: Menstral Issues

Well, I get diarhea and very bad abdominal cramps (not to be confused with menstrual cramps) the first day or 2, and it's pretty painful. Is this what you mean?

Re: Menstral Issues

i find when i have my period i get pretty constapated. I will even have blood on my bowels from it. Try to stay away from things that might make the trip to the bathroom a little harder.

Re: Menstral Issues

When you are constipated, because the two are next to eachother its VERY possible that your bowl is pushing on your cervix, which is a lot more painful during menstration because it dialates........ Plus your stomac muscles are already all crampy in the first place~

Re: Menstral Issues

I am quite capable of distinguishing between bowel cramps and mentrual cramps. This is not what I am getting at. I get sharp pains ONLY during mentruation throughout my entire pelvis when I am having a bowel movement. I am not constipated nor do I experience diarrhea...just sharp pains. I originally wondered if anyone had any answers or if it was totally normal. I don't remember always having these pains while menstruating

Re: Menstral Issues

Hi again everyone! I just wanted to let all of you who replied to this post a while back that it turns out that I have a 3cm ovarian cyst! They came to this conclusion by ultrasound. If there is anything else found by the specialist who reads the ultrasound results, I will write again!
