Thank you for reading this and if you have any advice for me it would be much appreciated. This is my first time here and well i am here for a reason. For almost ten years now i have had yeast infections, i went to an irodoligist who informed me that my system was riddled with it. I have tried just about everything i have heard and have not been able to control it. Recently i went to another doctor who diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis and she suspects that is what i have had the whole time. I went on the medication but with no luck with all that has been going on with me i am now very frustrated. I do douch but after reading some of the posts i am going to stop this immediatly. I do not itch the only real problem i have is an odour and a watery distarge which is off colour when it gets really bad i have extereme stomach aches . Please some advice............
I thought that the doctors would have picked whatever it is up i have, after all had children and am not stranger to the doctors, i have now given up on them and hope to find some other cures.
Wow you sure have been through a lot. I know what it is like to go from doctor to doctor and not get a cure for your problem. I have had bacterial vag in the past and from the symptoms you listed it sounds like bacterial vag. Have you been trying different antibotics?...maybe the one you took was not strong enough.
I've got problems with itchiness. There's not really any discharge and not much of an odour, but the itching drives me totally insane! I'm prone to yeast infections, I know that. But I've often had the itching come back with a vengence shortly after using a YI treatment. Could that also be BV?

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I have now started to incease my water intake to see if i can flush it out a little it has only been a couple of days but i am already noticing a difference and i have also stopped bathing and resort only to showering hoping that i don't get any water or soaps of anykind inside me. I am so gratefull for this sight it is wonderful to be able to see that i am not the only one with problems like this.
if you find out what the itch is please let me know I have had that itch for 4 months. I itch so bad that I have mad my skin black and blue and almost pass out from itching so hard.
Thanks Moondancer
moondancer..have you gone to the doctors to find out why you're itching? I've had a yeast infection before and the itch was excruciating. If it's not a yeast infection I have no clue why you could be itching so bad, the doctor could help you out. Good luck
Definetly sounds like BV. I first found out I had it about 6 months ago and was given anti biotics and assumed it had cleared up. When visiting doctor again found out I had it again. Another course prescibed which I finished last week, hopefully it's away this time, but who knows? As it seems to be a reacurring thing unfortuntley. I had the same symptoms as you. Bathing seems to be bad for this, so glad to hear you have stopped, but he only thing that can get rid of this horrible infection is anti biotics..
ImagineLennon & moondancer659 I have that itching too for the past 2 almost 3 months. No odor and no discharge i am going to go crazy. Dr said ph levels normal ( no bactieria she said ) and no yeast infection i need help.

Did she give you any kind of possible explanation? Right now it's not too bad for me, but I know that's only temporary. I think tomorrow on my lunch break I'm finally going to give and call my doctor to make an appointment. (I've been saying for weeks that I have to go see him and I keep not doing it.) The cream I've found to be very helpful is a corticisteroid, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal cream. It's called Theraderm, but that's the veterinary preparation. It contains triamcinolone, acetonide, nystatin, neomycin (as sulfate) and gramicidin. I'm going to ask my doctor for a Rx of the human preparation. When I get the name for that one I'll post it.
