I have read a bit about bacterial vaginosis, and from what I have learned, it is presentmostly in sexually active women, but it can be caused by other bizarre bacteria as well.
Don't feel bad, because I also have a white watery discharge and have had it for about 10 days. It's weird, because it used to look like snot, both in color and consistency >.< (sorry for being so explicit).
But no, "BV" is not an STD, because, like yeast infections, you do not need to be sexually active to contract it.
I must concur with the other repliers...it would be in your best interest to see your gynecologist and have a Pap smear done.
And sorry if I seem too personal, but if you are sexually active, do you find yourself in pain either during or after intercourse? Do you bleed after intercourse?
I swear on my mother's eyes I am in no position to frighten you, but watery discharge and pain and bleeding with sex might indicate cervical cancer. But don't assume the worst, honey - a Pap smear will tell you exactly what's going on inside your body.
I had those symptoms and had a pap over a week ago and I just got my results yesterday and it was normal. That's why you can't frighten yourself by getting on the internet and assuming the worst. Us lucky women have symtoms of things that could actually be symptoms of many things. That's why you just have to see your doctor.
my mom was just diagnosed with BV, she thought it was a yeast infection at first. Have you used any Yeast infection products? like monistat? Otherwise you will have to go to the doc for a prescription. They did a pap smear on my mom, then gave her the results like 3days later. Good Luck

thank you so much for replying!! i'm sorry i took so long to reply. i've been really busy at school.
the next time i will be able to get a pap smear for my yearly check up is the beg of next year. so i guess i have to wait.
anyways, i dont have pain during intercourse or bleeding either. however, the consistency of the discharge has changed a bit and its a little more thicker and its white still. it doesn't itch much anymore. also, there is a smell.. it doesn't smell like fish.. its smells kind of sour. sorry i know that sounds really gross! i dunno if that smell is considered normal.
I would say that smells it sour is kinda normal. There is times in the month that my discharge smells more sour. But it's not a bad odor, just part of being a woman unfortunatly! As long as it's not fishy, than you're clear in BV
