I had my first Laparoscopy and D & C on Tuesday and it wasn't bad at all! I had no problems except when I was awakened in the recovery room I couldn't breathe. I had a breathing tube during surgery and I think someone screwed something up. I woke up coughing so bad that it felt like I had terrible bronchitis. The nurse asked if I was ok and like an idiot I said "yeah I'm fine". The coughing lasted about 20 minutes or so ( I was still kinda out of it). Later in the day I had a terrible sore throat. I could hardly swallow. That continued for three days. Has anyone ever had a similar thing happen? I've had surgery with breathing tubes before and I have never experienced such a thing.
