Vaginal Discharge - Women's Health Message Board

I'm not really sure if this is normal, but I've been dealing with it since I was 13 years old. After I got my first period, between them I started having very heavy vaginal discharge. At first I thought it could have been a yeast infection and was checked out by a gyno, but she said after testing that there was no infection or anything really wrong.
It's a very frustrating problem because I constantly have to wear panty liners or use tampons to avoid wet spots appearing in the crotch of my pants. It's a very emabrassing situation also to have to explain to my boyfriend about why I have to wear panty liners.

The second time I brought this up with my gyno, she tried to use some sort of medication that I would insert into my vagina to see if it was caused by some kind of irritation, but that also did not work.

I'm so worried about this problem it's caused major stress whenever I get sexual situations with my boyfriend and never want to go further than "fooling around."

Isn't there anything I can do? :\

i think i may know what you are talking about... i deal with something similar... i havent been able to do anything about it (nor have i really tried) since im not sexually active right now but it has made me self-consious because of it when i was sexually active

one of my partners thought it was a turn on for him because he thought that i was always aroused and "wet" which kind of helped the situation... but i always worried because i would have discharge and wetness on my panties

sometimes it's just plain embarassing if it shows through my pants or shorts... so although i have no solution, you're not alone

I remember experiencing something similiar when I was younger. It seems to have less of an issue for me now. I'm not sure if that's because I simply grew out of it or because my diet changed and I started eating healthier.
As funny as it sounds, your diet can actually have some impact on your vaginal health and even it's taste. (or at least mildly so.) Perhaps you could experiment with your diet a little and see what happens.

I don't believe you should let this prevent you from having sex or being uncomfortable during sex. Like the poster above stated, most guys are going to find this a turn on. Frankly, it would be more of a turn off if you were completely dried out.
