| Re: Lower left pain
Hi There, I'm new to Healthboards. I too am having lots of abdominal pain and have been looking about the web to see if I can help myself, British NHS not much support. I have had suspected Endo after laporoscopy nearly ten years ago and have had it confirmed by a second laporoscopy about 3 weeks ago now. I'm 30 and have experienced constant severe abdominal/lower back pain since february this year and have the follow up appointment with my Gyno on Oct 20th when he said he'll dicuss monthly hormone injections with me - I understand that this will starve the Endo of the hormones it thrives on and kill it off, although once treatment stops there is a chance that it could regrow.
I also have Polycystic Ovary syndrome (PCOS) which the first laporoscopy identified, and suffer with both IBS and chronic fatigue syndrome. Sounds like I'm in the wars and although most days it feels like I've gone several rounds in the boxing ring, the internet searches I have done all make connections between PCOS, Endo, IBS and CFS. It all seems to be down to hormonal imballances, which although can be treated there doesn't appear to be a deffinitive cure - short of the menopause or hysterectomy.
Sorry its not more chearful for you, but I'm still looking and there is some really good information and tips on the web and if nothing else it lets you know your not alone.
Wishing you better and some answers from the tests.
