Dry skin patch on right breast.

I read recently read that if you get a dry patch of skin on your breast that you should see a doctor right away. Just the last month or so I have had a dry patch right under my nipple. It seems to get better when I put lotion on it but it's still there. Why would they say to get to a doctor right away? Isn't it just dry skin or eczema or something. Or can it be a symptom of something more serious?

Re: Dry skin patch on right breast.

I get eczema patches on my arms and legs usually, but I suppose they could pop up anywhere. Sometimes my patches take awhile to go away (weeks), but if yours doesn't go away after a couple of weeks to a month, I would get it checked out.

Re: Dry skin patch on right breast.

I held off putting lotion on today to see how dry it was and noticed that I also have a dry patch in the exact same spot on the other breast so it must just be dry skin or eczema.

Re: Dry skin patch on right breast.

Maybe your clothing is rubbing you or you are dehydrated and you are a little chapped?
