| Is this normal?
I've always had bad cramps during the first 2-3 days of my period and they have always been pretty heavy. It feels like I've been stabbed. Fortunately I went on depo in high school and have not had to deal with it for the past few years. Well now I'm off depo because we are TTC and the pain is back. I have to take 10-12 motrin a day to keep the pain at bay (that doesn't completely get rid of it though). I really don't know how I will survive TTCing like this. Painful periods has been most of the reason I've waited to TTC. The pain goes into my right thigh all the way down to my knee and sometimes my pelvic bones ache. The pain even wakes me up in the middle of the night if I don't take 3 motrin before bed. And I have to take more motrin AS SOON AS I wake up and heaven forbid if I over sleep. It has felt like I've been stabbed and cut open from one ovary to the other. This is mostly during my period, but I have had a few occasions where I would get really sharp pains at other times during my cycle. This can't be normal can it?
