soap question - Women's Health Message Board

I know this may sound like a strange question, but really am wondering: What type of soaps are good to use to clean the oh so sensitive area of a women??? The gyno said to use nothing,,,, ugh... yuck! , but I really don't feel comfy with that! I used to use Ivory, and sometimes Summer's Eve sensitive skin, but just thought I'd ask y'all women to see what is best. Want to avoid getting infections from disrupting the natural ph balance in there......Thanks.

Listen to your doctor...wash the outside like normal...leave the inside alone.

plain old water is the best way.. but if you feel like you have to use something, I do like Summers Eve wash.

Just talked to my OB-GYN on this on December 1st and he also said just plain water. I agree.

No soap! Soap will ruin the delicate pH balance down there and increases the chances of having yeast infections etc.
