Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? When I have my period my uterus feels really hard, almost like a big rock inside or something. I also have pain whenever I move around, such as getting up from a chair, sitting down, or just walking or bending in any way. As long as I stay still I'm fine. Just looking for some opinions or advice from anyone with similar experience. Thanks!
I think I know what you mean... it's like you can REALLY feel that organ (normally we aren't physically aware of those types of orgnas)... Like it feels full, stiff, painful... I used to get like that when I would get my bad, bad, periods. I have endometriosis. Sometimes now even though I am on depo and don't mensturate anymore, I still get that feeling when I have cramps. Like a bag of painful rocks in you abdomen. Does that sound like what you are experiencing???
I'm not sure I would describe it as a "bag" of rocks, but it just feels like whenever I get up and walk around like I almost have to support the weight with my hands or it hurts worse. And my abdomen actually feels physically harder to the touch than it normally does. I also get excruciating (sp?) cramps. I had an emdometrial ablation done and when they did an ultrasound beforehand to look for fibroids and cysts, they didn't say anything about endometriosis. But does that sound like it might be what I have?
Hi...I had been having these symptoms, along with others for a long time, and finally went to my gynocologist. It turns out that I have an enlarged uterus. He said that even though I've had 3 kids, my uterus should only be about 8 or 9cm. Mine was 13.5! The hardness could be attributed to uterine fibroids. I would go to your gyn and have him/her check into what's going on.
Hope you feel better.
Thanks for all the ideas! I just thought maybe there would be some other alternative to a hysterectomy. Since I already had an ablation I don't know what else can be done. I have an appointment with my gyno on the 23rd, so I'll see what she says. I'm thinking about having a hysterectomy, so I guess it doesn't really matter what's causing the pain so long as it goes away!!
