I am a 32 year old female, and have for the most part always had really normal periods. I am due for my period in about 2-3 days and I am wondering if this could be a symptom of PMS? As of about 5 hours ago I started to get a SHARP pain through my LEFT nipple only. Because I am getting ready to start my period I did go over board a bit on the chocolate today (which I rarely ever eat at all) and I drank a half cup of coffee.... could all these things be the cause of this sharp pain in my nipple?
1) period coming soon
I don't ever recall having this pain before, can it just start out of the blue?
Please someone..... reply with some answers....
Thank you so much
Hi...just wanted to help set your mind at ease. Our breasts go through many changes monthly due to hormones. I have had odd pains and lumps on and off for years. I've even had two surgical biopsies that turned out to be just fibroids. I have heard that coffee and chocolate may cause more trouble with breast lumps, but I think as long as you do your self exams and get mammograms when you should, you are probably fine. If it continues, I would definitely have your doctor take a look. Take care.
Thank you so much for your reply. I just wanted to update that the pain has gone away, and I did call my Dr and she said it is common for woman who are not frequent coffee drinkers and chocolate eaters that when we do use them, our breasts are very sensitive to them both. For some woman who use them all the time, it can even effect them, they just don't realize it because they are more use to the symptom around their period time
