can diet pill cause missed periods??? - Women's Health Message Board

I stopped taking birthcontrol about 3 months ago because it was causing weight gain since then my periods have been regular. This month I am almost two weeks late I have taken two home tests both said negative but still no period. Ive had stomach cramps for about three days now which i usually dont have until the first day of my period and they only last that day. Ive been taking diet pills for about three weeks could this be causing me to skip my period? Any advice?

I know dieting extreme dieting can sometimes cause missed periods but not sure about diet pills. I would call a doctor. If you think you could be pregnant you should definitly stop taking the diet pills though.
