my daughters pain - Women's Health Message Board

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, my 15 year old daughter has been having pains in the one side of her abdomen around the place where her ovaries are she says its a dull ache but it hurts to walk sometimes and it hurts when shes full up and just ate she is also having very heavy periods and they are lasting for a long time.
She is on the pill because of her heavy period i just wondered if anyone had had the same problem. Also I've just had a hysterectomy because I had vey big cysts in my ovaries and now she is getting worried that this is the sme thing.

She could have a cyst. Why don't you take her to the GYN so you can find out for sure? They will probably do an ultrasound.

If you don't have any insurance you can take her to Planned Parenthood where they have free/low cost examines. From what I understand they treat every kind of female problem.
