Getting worried - Women's Health Message Board

I have been having this dull ache while trying to make bowel movements in my left ovary. Not durring the day at all. Has anyone experiance this before? I am 3 days late for my period but pregnancy wouldn't make it ache like that would it? I have had cramping for 3 days now but nothing yet. Im thinking cyst. Im not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions.

V dub...hi, sorry about your pain. I can only guess what is causing your pain. I was having lower left abdominal pain, worse right before my period and after having bowel movements. Then I started having pain every day for a year and finally I was diagnosed with endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids after a laparoscopy, and then I had a hysterectomy in January. Trouble is, I still have lower left pain, so now they are thinking it's an intestinal problem. I'm waiting now to see a gastroenterologist. A lot of women with fibroids, cysts or endometriosis have the pain you describe. If the pain goes away after your period, I would guess it has to do with a gynecological problem. If the pain persists, it could still be a gyn. problem, but it might be something else, or maybe you're just having regular menstrual cramps before actual blood is coming out? Has this happened before?

Once before but much much worse. It was a huge cyst that eventually ruptured. I guess Im over reacting a little cause its not really that bad of a pain. I guess the whole pregnancy thing scares me a lot. Thank you for your reply it makes me feel better.
