Unusual breast growth - Women's Health Message Board

I am 18 years old. I very large breasts which are still growing. I gained over a cup size in the last year and I am now a 36FF. I am very embarrassed by the size of my nipples which are over 1/2 an inch across and about 3/4 of an inch long. My areola are about 4 inches across and and enlarged so there is a step up from the main part of the breast. Last year I was told that the breasts would probably get a more smooth shape and the growth would slow down. Instead the whole breast has grown in proportion. Sometimes the areola and nipples are so sensitive that I pad the area with tissue. This just tend to make me look even more awkward. I will see the doctor again soon. Is there anything I can do about this or anything I should talk to him about?

I had a friend with this problem and she was only 17 and got a breast reduction.
I dont know her cup size or anything, but they were large. I dont know if you have ever though about this, but from what i know of there really isn't many options. Maybe you can talk to your doc about that.

If you do go breast reduction route...they also can decrease the size/shape of your areoles. You would really need to be at the point where you are no longer developing or at least very minimally. The surgeon would probably not only want to do a breast reduction but also a breast lift. It is quite expensive but given your size and impending medical issues, insurance should cover most if not all of the surgery. Hope this is of some help.
