| Ultrasound Question
Hi all - I went to my first Gynecologist last Thursday. I was very nervous since this was my first exam, but once it was over, I realized it wasn't that bad at all!
However, my Gynecologist wants me to come back this Wednesday for an ultrasound to check the lining of my uterus and to make sure that I don't have any cysts. (I bleed lightly about once per week, and I'm never sure when I'm having a period).
My question is, what type of ultrasound would they be doing? I know there's one that is done on your belly, and one that's transvaginal (I think?). My paperwork from the Gynecologist said to start drinking 32 oz. of water an hour before my appointment, and not to use the bathroom as I have to have a full bladder.
Any thoughts? I'm hoping it's just the normal ultrasound and not the transvaginal one.
