pregnant and still having a period??

I was just wondering if it is possible to be pregnant and still have a period. Not so much a normal one , just lasting MAYBE two days at the most. IF anyone has experienced this before and still been pg. I would love to hear your story!!

Hey Amh,

Your be ok, some people do bleed during pregnancy but if your really worried then please go to your doctor and get advice. Dont worry though unless its very heavy and you get pains. If you get this then dont worry but please go to hospital ASAP.

Good luck X

You can get your period for up to 3 months while pregnant. (Happened with my roommate, her mom was pregnant but still getting her period.) I'm not sure if a pregnancy test would read accurately if you were still getting your period. Maybe talk to you doctor?

Re: pregnant and still having a period??

I had my period for the first month after I found out I was pregnant with my first child. It wasn't a normal period though. It only lasted a couple of days and it was much lighter than normal. I do think that you should mention it to the doctor though, they may want to do a ultrasound to make sure everything is ok with the baby, and yourself.

Re: pregnant and still having a period??

Ditto what starlet32079 said. It confused the Doctor with me because he calculated my pregnancy from the month after, but I knew I was pregnant when I had the 2 day bleed, and I eventually proved the Doctor's calculation to be wrong. I gave birth to a perfectly healthy son.
