heavy bleeding after smear - Women's Health Message Board

Hi,
I had a smear about 2 weeks ago, but since I've been bleeding really heavily, and doesn't seem to be stopping at all. I sometimes think it's going to stop but then I get the bad cramps and start heavy again. I've had cramps everyday too, which is annoying because it means I'm relying on painkillers all the time. I went to the doctors yesterday, and I had to give a urine sample to send off. One for hormonal, another to check for infection and another for pregnancy test.
I'm on the depo pill injection, so I haven't had a period for over 2 years. Just wondering if anyone has been through the same thing, or know of anything?

I am kinda of going through the same thing. They also sent of lab with me but I have not heard anything yet.

Yeah, it's kinda worrying. I had the pregnancy test results earlier on, and it came back negative thank god. The other results should be in tomorrow, so I'll have to ring from work.
