I am 38 yo. My periods have always been regular. Every 28 days, 5 days, done. I always gets cramps the first day or two, but nothing that can't be taken care of by ibuprofen.
I got my last period on the 2nd of this month. For three days now, I have had cramps. In my lower back and lower stomach. Not real bad, but really annoying. Feels like the first day of my period. I have an appt with my GYN on Wed. But wondering why would I have cramps like this mid-cycle, and this has never-ever happened before. I have no between period bleeding/breakthrough bleeding at all.
I had a CT Scan yesterday and it showed nothing(I was in for a UTI) but I do not think these cramps are realted to the UTI. I would assume the the CT Scan would have showed something on my Uterus if I had a fibroid or cyst.
Re: cramps between periods, never happened before??
I get that too, I have posted a few times about it. My doctor says it's during ovulation. Mine got pretty bad though the last time, so I got medication for it, Ponstel. I get really bad stomach pains and lower back pain too, it's worse than when I'm actually on my period. I never had this before either up until about 6 months ago.
