"Paper cut"-like sores? - Women's Health Message Board

Anyone ever experience very thin small sores in the vaginal area that can best be described as resembling a paper cut? If so WHAT the heck is it and where did it come from? I get these from time to time, and no injury etc. to explain it.

It could be from tp allergy. if i use sertain harsh tps i get those little crack. along the edge. Feels like a paper cut too.

I had this happen to me. I found out I had Lichen Sclerosis. It is a skin condition of the labia. Do a search on it and see if your symptoms match. It can be controlled with steroid cream.

I have the same problem off and on. I was told, by my gynocologist, it was an excema realted problem. But if you post with the same issues on the herpes board, many people thinkherpes is the culprit. I don't know what it is but it's painful and annnoying. I used to get it alot more when using latex condoms. I use lambskin now (in a commited relationship) but it isn't reccommended for HIV or STD protection.

I get them from time to time if when starting to have sexual intercourse my spouse tries to go in to fast. It hurts for a second but the next morning in shower I can tell there there. They usually go away in a couple of days.
