Last month I had my period for 2 weeks. This months normal period but a constant cramp on my left ovary shooting pain down my leg. Now period is over pain still there and last week the mother of all cramps near my left ovary.

Went to GP Dr and went in for pelvic ultra sound and nothing. So the Doc tells me to keep taking vicoden for pain and see ya in 2 weeks....huh??? I would think pain is a sign something is wrong but he seems not concerned. I am on BC pills for 20yrs and 36 yrs old and going to see Gyno this week but what is wrong????

A GP doc is not the right person to diagnose this problem. You should definitely seek out an experienced gynecologist who is trained to diagnose this type of issue. While a pelvic ultrasound is ok, it's the vaginal ultrasound or saline ultrasound that will better show whether there's anything going on inside the uterus or on the ovaries that is concerning.

If I were you, I'd make the next available appointment with a gynecologist and leave your GP for times when you have a simple cold or whatever. They're just not capable of diagnosing women's problems the way a gynecologist can.

I had this and my docs found that i had a cist on my overay also i have endometriosis. I constantly have pain around my ovaries and in and around my belly button. My suggestion get another opinion, goto your family doc then go to another specialist. If the problem continues I suggest having a look for endometriosis.
