| Re: Recurrent Yeast Infections
Definitely you should get your husband into the shower daily--his being dirty can make the situation worse. It may not cause the infection in the first place but if he is dirty/sweaty/less clean, it may throw off the pH of your vagina, causing irritation and allowing yeast to flourish. You can also try taking a probiotic daily to decrease the chances of getting an infection. I've had good luck with AZO yeast pills--they sell these in the drugstore near the OTC yeast treatments. If you can't find the AZO yeast, you can also try taking acidophilus capsules daily (but be sure the capsules contain LIVE bacteria). This may help.
Wearing cotton underwear, avoiding douching, not using scented toilet paper or pantyliners or feminine sprays can help prevent them.
