| Red Food Dye (FD&C Red #40) Causes Spotting?
This is kind of an odd post, but whenever I eat or drink something that contains the dye FD&C Red #40, I start spotting. The first time I noticed it I was a teen, and I took some red vitamins, and every time since it has done me that way. (I didn't take the vitamins for a few days, and it stopped, but started back when I took them again). Without thinking, I drank some diet drink with it yesterday, and it started again. It's happened a few of times when I wouldn't think to check to see whether or not something contained it. My mother said it used to do her the same way. The weird thing is that I can consume other red dyes with no problem. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
