odd various issues

I've been feeling lightheaded and getting headaches often lately. My blood pressure has fluctuated a lot betweenb eing normal and being high in the last year. I've read that usually hbp doesn't have any symptoms, but they think that dizziness and headaches could be a symptom sometimes.

I've had stomach issues lately, mainly itching or hurting after a bowel movement, or a sharp pain when I sit down, a pain on my left side sometimes and pains here and there along my pelvic area at various times, sometimes when I just stand up too, like stretching out my abdomen bothers it or something. My gyn doctor told me that he thinks I have a stomach problem.

I had a pap smear come back as hsil with hpv in Dec. had a colposcopy done in Jan, the results I got back 2 weeks ago showed everything normal, no hpv and just some cervicitis (inflammation) on a couple of the scrapings. He did 4 biopsies and a few scrapings.

I've been having irregular cycles. Like Dec I spotted halfway through then started 4 or 5 days early. Jan cycle was normal, Feb was going normal until I started bleeding last Wednesday night after an intense work out that focused on my core. I called my doctor and he said that working out too hard can cause spotting. Well it turned into a period, lasted 6 days with cramping and backaches just like my periods always do. And it was a week and a half early. And my doctor doesn't seem concerned about my cycles being irregular lately.

Then I've been having backaches often and fatigue.

I have an appt on Friday the 2nd. But I'm curious, has anyone here experienced all this stuff and was diagnosed with anything? I almost wonder if its thyroid related, I used to have have fatigue or irregular cycles. I'm going to ask for a referral to a GI doctor so that we can find out what is going on with my stomach. But do you all think that the pains could be my stomach and its not anything vaginal or with my reproductive system?

Obviously I'm going to talk to my dr about my menstrual irregularities (gyn doctor says that since my pelvic exam was normal, then there's nothing wrong), the pains, stomach issues, fatigue, headaches, light headedness, etc. But I'm just curious if this all could be 1 health issue, or various health problems that aren't related? If there's antyhing besides bowel problems, thyroid problems and high BP, I'd like to know so I can ask her too. I wanna know what the heck is wrong with me. I'm so tired of feeling like crap and I'm tired of my gyn dr telling me I'm fine. I'm sorry but if I was fine my cycles would not be irregular. grrrr.

Re: odd various issues

Stress can make your cycles irregular. If you are worried (which you are) about one health issue, it CAN have an effect on your cycle. You mentioned working out, how often do you work out? And are you consuming enough calories? Working out excessively and not eating enough can also mess up your cycles, and cause a lot of other problems.

Re: odd various issues

up until mid-dec i wasn't stressed, then after i received my colposcopy results i really destressed, so basically when i was stressed out my cycles were regular, go figure. which is why i'm also so puzzled on why i would be irregular yet again. before last wednesday my work outs were pretty light, light stretching, some crunches, leg lifts, 15-20 min on a treadmill at 2mph, followed by some more light stretching after the treadmill. then i decided to try a pilates video that focused on my core since I know my core is out of shape and i started bleeding. I'm definitely eating enough, i eat a yogurt in the morning with some flaxseed added in and sometimes a bowl of cereal if i'm still hungry, then for lunch i have leftovers, or a sandwich with whole wheat bread and a side salad, or just a big salad and some fruit. for dinner i cook pretty well rounded meals with a vegetable side dish, lean protein and a whole grain side, i eat fish at least twice a week and i take a daily multi-vitamin along wtih a few other vitamins to help with the cervical problems. then in the evenings if i really want something sweet i'll have some organic dark chocolate and on the weekends i'll let myself have a slice of pie/cake/a cookie/donut whatever just as a treat if i am really really craving it.

you'd think i'd feel great and yet i feel like crap all the freakin time. and really none of it bothers me, I just wanna know what the heck is going on with me. the only thing that i really worry about is my menstrual problems. i truly don't like having any problems down there. everything else i can deal with.

Re: odd various issues

Have you had the Red Blood Cell test or the CBC series test?

A High red blood cell or low White blood cell count can be an indicator of some problems.

Re: odd various issues

I haven't had that in a while, I used to get it often because I deal with infections a lot. I saw my doctor today and she ordered a thyroid test and some other blood work to also test for diabetes and stuff. She also ordered an ultrasound and x-ray of my lower abdomen. I am so glad I saw her today, she right away ordered all these tests without me even having to ask. She told me that you can't always just feel something wrong when it comes to the ovaries and uterus, so it was ridiculous that my gyn doctor refused to do an ultrasound or anything. She also put me on birth control, which I'm fine with now that I'm going to get these tests done. I didn't like the idea of my gyn doctor just putting me on BC and calling it good. I also found out some information today that my gyn doctor did not tell me. Like I asked what type of hpv I have (low risk or high risk) and he told me it didn't say on the report. Liar. It did, my doctor today told me it says I have a high risk strain. So I need to be even more vigilant about getting my pap smears done and watching to make sure it doesn't start changing my cervical cells.
